I've got a TivoHD. During a certain commercial, the 8-second rewind seems to only rewind a fraction of a second.
This only happens during one specific commercial, a local spot for a strip club in Queens, NY called "Gallagher's 2000". It airs during episodes of "The Sarah Silverman Program" on Comedy Central.
I've tried to reproduce the odd behavior during other commercials in the same show, and during the show itself, but the function only behaves oddly during that specific commercial. Although the length of the 8-second jumpback does get smaller and smaller in the last few seconds of the commercial right before the affected one. Also, the length of the 8-second jumpback appears to incrementally reach it's full proper length in the first few seconds of the commercial that follows the affected one.
I've not been able to reproduce this behavior in any other recording that I have.
I have, however, been able to reproduce this behavior in another instance of the same Gallagher's commercial in a different episode of The Sarah Silverman Program.
I find this to be very interesting.
Any thoughts?
