I find I need to replace a hard drive after two years. The stuttering and frequent reboots are making life very annoying. After reading this thread, it looks like using InstantCake, I can format a new drive easily. However, I don't see any recomendations for manufacturer and model number to purchase.

I did see a mention that some drives are made specifically for a DVR. How does one tell.

My failing drive is a Maxtor QuickView MaxLine II - 250 GB in a Humax series II T2500 recorder.

Any suggestions for something the same size or a bit larger would be appreciated.

Thanks
Doug
