All my current PCs do not have internal SATA header on the motherboard, all IDE. So I ordered 2 IDE to SATA converters from ebay similar to this:

IDE to SATA Converter (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250173761781&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX_Stores&refitem=260168054681&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget)

Problem is now if I use up both IDE headers for the SATA drives either to marry an external drive SATA, or upgrade the current internal Tivo drive I cannot boot my computer either into Windows from current IDE drive, or Linux using IDE CD-ROM.

Anyone think of a way to get this to work or am I SOL with this setup?

Try a USB - SATA\IDE adapter.
