Will someone help a neophyte ???

I want to get Tivo program data off my series 1 DirecTv receivers (I have 3 of them) to watch on my Dell Inspiron 8500 when I am travelling. I am told this can be done, but can't find any relevant info. as to HOW.

As far as I know Direct TV tiVo boxes do not have the TiVo to Go option.
Therefore you cannot download the video off the box.
