View Full Version : Slow rollout of 9.1?

From most of the posts it appears 9.1 has been going out for over a week now, and my S3 still hasn't seen any sign of it.

Just unlucky or an unusually long phased rollout by TiVO?

From what I've read, you are lucky

Did that about 24 hours ago when I first read about 9.1, but I've since read several reports from people who got 9.1 without doing so.

I want native mode that converts 480i to 480p. but leaves 720p as 720p and 1080i as 1080i.

I don't have cable cards, so problems with those aren't a concern for me; I'm strictly OTA ATSC.

You're very lucky.

Wouldn't that be Hybrid?

9.1 has been good to me. I would use the priority page again.

I think this is the first software rollout for the S3 that isn't S3-specific (i.e., everyone's getting it). As such, I don't think it's particularly slow compared to other Tivo software updates.

From what I've read, you are lucky..and that is the point....those who have problems are MUCH more likely to post than those who don't (gee, where have I read THAT before?). I've had no problems with 9.1 and the majority of those who have 9.1 would concur...they simply don't bother to post....doesn't make for good reading....

Still nothing, so I guess I'll just have to be patient over the next few days; the priority page says to allow a week.

I got it tonight, and I'm satisfied so far. It fixed my last buggy Fios channel... the advanced wishlists are nice, although the interface is a bit quirky... but I do see the slow update in 30-sec-skip/instant-replay. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything yet.

Be careful what you pray for. You might just get it... I wish to hell I still had 8.3. :p
