Did Teri Hatcher have a breast enlargement or something... they sure were showing off her breasts this episode, pregnancy in the storyline or not... funny line the high school kid had at the party, though. :)
The guy who Carlos was paying off, presumably to kill or at least "take care of" Edie... have we seen him before? I didn't recognize him or anything; just thought it was strange the way they avoided showing him for the first part of the conversation and thought it might've been intended as a surprise reveal.

Loved the "crime wave" on Wisteria Lane.
"I'm pregnant!"
"That's hot." :D
I hope Carlos succeeds with his little plan. I can't stand Nicolette Sheridan, and four housewives is quite enough.

My guess is the Carlos plan will backfire and the guy will turn out to be a cop or something.

I dunno...having him in prison twice could get tiresome.

You'd think Susan would be smart enough not to wear a teddy to a high school party. Oh wait, it's Susan...
I am loving the Bree / Dana Delany feud! :)

They were like two delicious apples.

I didn't recognize him. I seriously doubt Carlos is paying somebody to kill her - that's just what they want you to think. I can't imagine they'd take his character to those depths. My theory is that he's paying someone to romance her away from him - if she doesn't want to marry him any more, his problem is solved.

I knew someone would post that. :)
So Dana Delaney must have killed off the father? I'm sure in some specatacular way.

My theory ever since the characters were introduced is that she killed him when she caught him molesting their daughter Dylan, the combination of which was so traumatic to the girl that it caused total memory block of anything before it. One of the housewives (Lynette?) even speculated this week that something to that effect had caused her to forget her childhood friendship with Julie.

Yup, I was thinking along those same lines. Maybe he's buried in the backyard? :D

Is the whole Lynette with Cancer story sort of feel brushed over? Like it's a background story and doesn't have the impact it really should?

Lemme see, what have we seen so far in just two episodes? Lynette didn't want to tell anybody because she didn't want to be pitied, chemotherapy is causing her hair to fall out and she was wearing a wig to hide it even from her own kids, her hand got forced and she revealed her cancer to her friends, her friends were upset that she hadn't told them, her husband isn't dealing well with keeping a positive outlook so she had to boot him from chemotherapy, most of her friends are pitching in to help her, Gabby's personal issues were keeping her from being as supportive as she wants to be, she overcame those issues to come to the hospital, Lynette promised Gabby she wasn't going to lose her.
Let's not forget that this show is essentially a comedy - what the heck more do you want them to do? They can only deal with the trauma of Lynette's cancer so much and keep the show what it is.
Oh, and personally I thought Gabby's scene with Lynette was a dramatic highlight that was both touching and appropriate to the topic and to the show's basic tenor. And I continue to believe Eva Longoria is extraordinarily underrated as an actress - she unquestionably has the best comic chops of anyone on the show and can really reach the dramatic points when necessary too.

Why doesn't Carlos just open a new offshore account and transfer the money elsewhere?

Because it would be the IRS after him. The IRS would find a way to trace the money back to him. If it was just local cops it would be one thing but the IRS is another they almost always win. 10 million not accounted for would make carlos a high priority target for the IRS and top agents would be put on it.
I like bree having a rival it is very fun to watch. I just wish we could see more diners with andrews, orson and bree those always made me laugh my ass off.

But if the money is already offshore, can't he just open a new offshore account (certainly there is more than one bank in the Caymans). Or are you saying that all Edie has to do is tip the IRS to the fact that he has $10 million somewhere and then it's over for him?

That may be one of the least obscure Seinfeld references.

I was wondering why Carlos didn't just move it somewhere else. Saying someone has offshore accounts in no way proves that he had it. He needs to make his paperwork disappear, so she has no evidence.
I don't like the direction that the writers are taking Edie. She was always mean, but she has gone beyond that to evil.

Actually if Carlos is planning to do a hit on Edie. I would say they are taking him in a much more serious turn that you can't go back from.

Carlos has always had a dark spot. He was involved in criminal activity, which eventually sent him to prison. It's not like he was a rosy character. It just faded into the background a bit as of late.

Maybe that's what he's paying the guy he gave the envelopes full of money to do.
