Seems like you already have announced them for sale :)

Sell it quick! The market will soon be overloaded with them.
Most people paid around $700-$1000 for a new HR10-250.

eBay might be a better choice. You could and should at least search through completed auction listings there for recent auctions of the units to get an idea of how much people have been paying for the units so you'd know how much to expect to be able to sell a unit for.

Note also that the forum rules normally do not permit any classified ads or other 'systems for sale' business to be transacted here. There have been times when one user may contact another user via private message though....

Could you please post a link to that forum rule?
I went to the FAQ page http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/faq.php?
There is no such prohibition that I find

Thought 1
Keep your TiVo's to have twice the tuners, twice the storage. Also as backups until you are really comfortable.
Thought 2
If you sell, don't sell to a friend or someone you know. We have been told by a knowledgeable source that HR10 shutoff may be completed by the end of Q2, if not Q3.
Thought 3
The price you can get depends on the "Barbie Factor". If you have the original box, manuals, packaging, remote, cables, etc., with an viable access card, you can get as much as $200. Upgraded units may sell for more. More typically they are $100-$150 now. A year ago they were getting $400-$500.
Thought 4
As you sell your used HR10's, you are somewhat in competition with DIRECTV's $99 or even $19 deals on the HR20 (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=361301&page=22&pp=30).

Who is "we" and just what does that mean?
DirecTV Standard Definition service will NOT, in my opinion, EVER be shutoff... there are simply too many receivers, both regular and DirecTivo, for that service to ever be shut off
DirecTV's HiDef MPEG2 service (ie- the HR10-250) MAY be shut off some day... but the HR10-250 will still be able to receive SD service, just like every other SD receiver in service
If someone must have HiDef, that does mean the "other" brand of receiver for the MPEG4 signal... but that does not, as far as I have ever read here, mean that the HR10-250 will be made completely useless... just no new HD via the HR10-250

Not only will the HR10 continue to receive SD, it will also do HD OTA.

"12. No advertising – No links to advertising or Spam is permitted. No referral links are allowed. No links to charitable organizations or sponsorships are allowed. No linking to your own site for the sole purpose of driving traffic to it is allowed. Also, no selling of products, including TiVos on the forum. There is an area on the AVSForum for buying/selling products which can be accessed here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=123. "
Just to make it simple/clear.

Where's your source for this total bull?
To the best of my knowledge, "We" have been told nothing of the sort and the so-called "knowledgeable source" of which you speak is either a figment of your imagination or a not-so knowledgeable source. It ain't gonna happen.
