How's Desktop Plus Licensed?

Does anyone know how Tivo Desktop Plus is licensed. Is it keyed to your MAC address or will it only process from a certain Tivo MAK? I'm thinking of buying a license, but what if I get a new desktop computer? Or if it's MAK licensed, what if I add another Tivo, will I have to get another license?

Any help would be appreciated.
