SlingBox Pro and MX-950 Universal

I have a Series 3 and use the MX-950 Universal remote to control my system. I’d like to be able to add a SlingBox Pro to the Tivo. I’ve read that the SlingBox needs to communicate with the Tivo infrared receiver. Is it possible to hook up the SlingBox using the remote I have, and would the remote need to be reprogrammed in any way to accommodate this setup?

If this setup would work is it something I could hook up myself, or is it complicated and would I need a professional installer to do this?

No, the slingbox doesn't interact with your universal remote in any way. It uses an IR blaster. You may have more luck asking these kinds of questions on the Slingcommunity forums.
