View Full Version : Tivo HD Sometimes Locks up when Live tv is pressed

:( Please help. I have a Tivo HD and when I am in the main menu screen and I press "live TV" the tivo screen will go blank. I press Tivo button then I get the menu screen back but no wallpaper. When I try to playback a program, will not play, It asks me to keep or delete. I have to restart the system in order to get functionality back. seems like there is issue with playback somehow. I am using only over the air, no cable. I also have a 1TB drive upgrade from WeakNees. I called them and said to go through guided setup again??? This happened twice in the last two weeks.

The video decoder is dead. There is no way to bring it back except reboot.

Is this a problem with hardware???? Should I return the box. Or is it a software issue that came with the drive?

Sound like this (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=365824) problem. If so, it just started happening to more than just yourself.

Thanks, That is the problem. I also called tivo cust service and complained. They said wait for software update.
