So wifey and I went to Tim Goodman's TV Hootenanny last night. We got to see the pilots for Aliens in America, Reaper, Samantha Who? (Sam I Am), and Pushing Daisies.
Three out of four of these will end up getting season passes, AinA, Reaper and PDs. The overall sentiment of the 100+ people there was that Pushing Daisies is interesting, creative, quirky and will be lucky to make it past four episodes. Think Dead Like Me crossed with Lemony Snicket.
The best part is listening to Tim take apart the industry and make fun of the people and processes that result in shows like Caveman. (He had the pilot but refused to subject people to it, in his words "f*cking awful".)
Lots of great swag given out, I got King of the Hill Kick *ss BBQ sauce and 24 Jolt caffeine gum.
