NFL Season has started tricks for getting your shows ?

Are there any tricks that people use to record their shows that get extended because of football ??

I thought the tivo giude was smart enough to get the shows if they were started late and thus run late.

Anyone have any thoughts besides taping the show right after the one you want which will extend the time.

The guide can't be THAT quick because no one knows the game will end until it does, the guide updates are instantaneous

just pad the HELL out of them!Yeah, the one show I've had problems with in the past is Cold Case. To deal with that I've got a 1 hour end pad set up in the season pass manager.

Yes, it's crazy and wasteful to put an hour of padding onto a 1 hour show, but its the only way to ensure I get the whole program. I've seen it start up to 48 minutes late! (Which burned me back when I only had set 30 minute padding)
