i want my tivo back

hi

I had tivo with direct tv for about 3 years my tivo stopped working so my tv guy talked me into dish network,,he said its better then tivo,,well i believe him and bought into it...BAD mistake,,,my husband and I hate it,,its not easy to record or even all the channel line up is so different...

i sign a contact with dish for 12 months,,,
i would like to know if there is anyway that i can buy a new tivo box and live with my dish network!!!

Standalone TiVos will work with Dish Network receivers. The Dish lineup will remain the same, obviously.

if dish has a grace period in which you can cancel your contract, do so.

The most common problems with DirecTV tivos are not difficult to fix, but if you do not want to do so yourself, you can have it done here http://www.ccscorporation.net/terms.htm for $100. Alternatively, you can buy refurbed direcTV Tivos from weaknees, and you can find used ones on ebay. DTV is not going to help you with this. You will have to fend for yourself.

You could get a tivo hd now and use it to record ota hdtv with a antenna. It looks better then sat. and cable. I record about half my shows with a antenna now.

well i just found out it not a 12 month contract its a 18 months,,,
i really dont like the dish line up .

i guess i will have to live with this for another16 months!!!!

so if the dish hd dvr line is the same why would i buy another tivo???

From what I've heard/read, there is NO WAY any other DVR is like a Tivo. :cool:

so 16 month from now i will buy another tivo,,,not sure about what company i will sign up for cable or satelite,but i will get tivo back.
