Tivo(wDVD) HDTV setup

How do I hook up my Tivo to my HDTV with a time Warner HD cable box? They have it hooked up wrong. My HDTV is a dual tuner. They have it setup on both. No sound on one. The pic is not as good on the other. The connections say CMP1 and CMP2. They have it hooked up on input2. HELP

Your HDTV being dual tuner doesn't mean anything in this case. That's for OTA reception (although it could be used for RF from the cable box or TiVo).

Try this:
Cable to HD cable box, output of cable box to composite input on HDTV. (This will allow you to watch live HD.)
Composite output of cable box to TiVo, composite output of TiVo to composite input of HDTV. (To watch SD recording from the TiVo.)

Of course, there are many combinations depending on what you want to do.

You say a Tivo w/DVD.

Try this for higher quality.

Cable Box->HDTV CMP1 via component = Live HDTV
Cable Box->Tivo via S-Video; Tivo->HDTV CMP2 via component = SD Tivo Video & high quality DVD
