A few years ago, a hot topic was using Tivo with Phonex wireless phone adapters which talked to each other across the mains supply. Well, my Phonex adapters have died and of course, the same model is no longer available.
Are there any other similar products? If not, what are people doing, just running a cable to the nearest phone socket?

A better but more expensive solution is to use a network card over a Devolo mains-based network.

Ebay has a few wireless versions (http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?GetResult&itemid=160154921469&itemstate=2&query=WIRELESS+PHONE+LINE+EXTENDER+BNIP++ONE+FOR+ALL&sibeleafcat=61816&sim=y), or are they also via mains?

I had a look at DECT based ones several years ago, but they only worked at relatively-slow modem speeds.

If it uses the mains wiring then I'd imagine the US version works on 110 volts.

Thanks for your responses. I've managed to breathe new life in it by replacing the capacitors in the power supply. The whole thing runs rather hot and capacitors are the first things to fail. I'm going to put a cooling vent in it which should help prevent it getting hot and bothered.
