how can I use series 2 tivo boxes now replaced with new tivos?

Is there anything I can use our 2 series 2 tivo boxes for now that we've transferred lifetime service to new boxes?

I read something that said you can use them to pause/delay up to 30 minutes - is that all, besides giving them to friends or relatives?

I'd love to be able to send recordings from the tivos which have service to the old tivos. My husband says it's okay, just use computers for viewing in other rooms, but the monitors are small, the spare tvs are big!

Not very hack able, wish I was, and not into theft.

You can just buffer LiveTV, and view existing recordings. Any recording and transfers requires subscription. Yes, enabling those feature to get around subscribing is theft of service.
