transfer from active tivo to unactive tivo

I have my humax tivo that i have activated and use all the time. I still have my original tivo, but i don't have it activated anymore. Is it possible to transfer shows on my humax to my other tivo? I've tried to do it with a crossover cable but no dice. Any suggestions are welcome

To use MRV to transfer shows between TiVos, both TiVos need to have an active subscription.
