Friend of mine asked me to try and find him an image for his two tivo's. One is a directv r40 and other is r10. He said os is tivo but I have no idea what he is talking about due to i do not have a tivo. Any advice would be appreciated.

the r40 isn't a tivo
the r10 is, and you have a few options... you're looking for tivo s/w version 6.1

- for $20, you can get instantcake from http://www.dvrupgrade.com/dvr/stores/1/category.cfm?Category_ID=5&Product_ID=0&ModelID=61&type=Model&page=cat&CFID=237887&CFTOKEN=16110700

- there are a few places you can beg for here (just look around)

- you MAY be able to find 6.1 on one of the sharing networks

the last 2 options are fairly iffy, because r10s can only be hacked with a prom modification, so 6.1 isn't sought after like 6.2 and others are
