Need help transferring programs

I have a Sony SAT-T60 in my bedroom. I recently got an HDTV in that room and want to get an HR20 to replace the T60. I have lots of programs saved on the T60. Is there any way to save those programs other than by slow transfer to VHS/DVD?

Without hacking, programs are encoded to the hardware, so even if you could transfer the programs to a different box, they would not play

Just leave it connected and watch the shows. When done then disconnect i from the TV. If you want to keep them, then dump to DVD. Set up a recording and start it just before going to bed.
