I note their slogan "coming to a Plasma near you"

So it seems yet another vote for the view that upscaling from SD to HD works better on Plasma than LCD.

I've been using one for about 8 months now, driving into a Goodmans 42" 1080P set, from three TiVo's, DVDR and V+ box. V+ via HDMI, one TiVo directly into the Scaler and the other items via a two output SCART matrix switch. (so I can feed the DVDR as well).

The conversion from the analogue inputs to HDMI seems to chop off a bit of the right hand side of the image but apart from that it works fine. HDMI is passthrough.

That sounds a bit "Apart from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?" to me - how much is chopped off? I note that it doesn't do 1080p, or 576i. In a few years when we're using SED or OLED displays that can display interlacing properly, people will really regret throwing away 50fps in favour of 25fps.

The display shows all of the TiVo graphics, but tight upto the right hand side.

At the time, finding something that would give all of the correct inputs, was a bit hard, without spending thousands. The nearest unit was the PE1000 pro, but a new unit was three times the price.

I use the unit in 720P as the 1080i output is not really 1080i.

A lot of people find 13fps acceptable, but I do agree with you, 50fps is would be substantially better.

Must admit, I'm now thinking about getting the (as yet unavailable) Onkyo 905 amp, and modifying the TiVo outputs to be component !!
