series 1 witha cam corder

Hi,, I have a trapeze school and I want to " instant replay" my students swings,,
Is it true that I can hook up my cam corder to a series 1 Tivo and record the students swinging while I watch an earlier swing? I was told that as long as I am not trying to record from a TV that it would work.. free lessons to anyone that can help us with this,,,,

Just do guided setup and tell it you have a cable box.

Judging by your serial number you have a Sony SVR-2000. It might be able to record without a subscription but not guaranteed.
