R10 died a while ago.. what to do with hd?

I purchased a Weaknees hard drive upgrade for my D* R10. The R10 completely died on me when it got the update for daylight savings time. I cried. Then I called D* and got an R15. Its.. okay, but now I have this extra hard drive.

Can I put this Weaknees drive directly into a new Hughes or Philips DirecTivo? I'm missing the tivo interface a lot...

If it was the R10's hard drive that died, then you certainly don't want to use it anywhere else. If you're sure it's still good, you can only install it in another R10 DirecTivo because its software image is not compatible with other DirecTV/Tivo DVRs. Of course, you could re-image it with MFSTools or InstantCake just like any other hard drive.
