TiVo Card? Receiving Premium Channels?

What is the TiVo card people mention? and ComCast tells me I can't use Tivo to receive premium channels but have to use their DVR. Is this true? I have a Series 2. Thanks.

You're probably referring to the CableCARDs needed for the Series 3 units to tune digital cable. Your Series 2 can't use them.

As to tuning premium channels with a Series 2, if they are broadcast analog then your TiVo will tune them just fine. If they are digital then you will need to use an STB attached to your TiVo with an IR blaster or a serial cable for control.
