Old TiVo Box

I moved from cable to satellite about 1 a year go. At that time I had TiVo service for about a year. I cut off my TiVo service because I was tired of having the IR sensors and the delay in the channel changing and replaced it with the DirecTiVo.

Long story short - I have an old TiVo Series 2, Model TCD24004A

Is there anything that can be done with that old unit?

I wouldnt mind sending it back and letting them refurbish it and resell it (as long as they pay for postage - not trying to actually make money on this). I would also just give it to someone - but I dont want them to have to pay out of pocket right off the bat for any out of the ordinary charges.

Can someone just point me in the right direction.

If the unit works...only $6.95 a month for service...I wish I never gave away my 40 hour unit to my x-sister-in-law who probably pawned it.
In other words...I would love to send you a pre-paid postage box to mail me the unit.

The right direction is that it needs subbed to do practically anything.
As long as you have been paying Tivo, There are no extraordinary charges to sub it.

Or you can sell it for some money.
