Hi Guys im confused over products,

There is Hooch,

PTVupgrade Universal TiVo Upgrade CD

and Instant cake.


are they all the same,

No.

Hooch is for UK machines only and includes a UK image.

InstantCake is for US machines only and includes a US image.

PTVUpgrade CD is aimed at the US market but *may* work with UK machines. It does NOT include an image.

I never heard of anyone successfully using it with a UK machine though.

So far as UK upgrades are concerned I think its also worth mentioning www.tivoland.com as well as www.tivoheaven.co.uk where Hooch comes from.

I never heard of anyone successfully using [PTVUpgrade CD] with a UK machine though.It's just an updated, enhanced version of the original LBA48 CD (http://www.tivoheaven.com/download/ptv-mfstools2-large-disk.iso) AFAIK so I see no reason why it wouldn't work with UK machines.
