Probably the best episode so far this season!
I loved the looks on Dick and Danielle's face when Julie sent Kail packing!
And speaking of Julie, she should just STOP being allowed to run these HOH comps. How many times has she screwed up the HOH comp...and then she just flat out gave Eric the answer and you can tell Eric was mad because he honestly knew the answer and his answer was disqualified because Julie accidentally said Nick's name.

A little backround for you non feed watchers. Dick was telling everyone that when they vote out Eric everyone to scream and jump up and down and high five. So what happened? The LNC 5 stole their moment!!! That was awesome!!!!

I feel bad for Eric just for her messing him up.

I would truly love to see Danielle go before Dick. I would love to see his gameplay.

Well it would be a long shot if both of them survive the week, but stranger things have happened. It would be interesting to see who Eric is going to try and nominate. I hope it's not a cope out for Dick or Danielle.

Thanks for that info - makes it more hysterical!
This was a fantastic episode!! I don't really like Eric, but didn't want him to go home just yet.
I want Eric to have to put up Amber - I think I'm ready for her to go. And, that's what matters right? I'm tired of seeing her - not that I think she's a threat to anyone. Heck, I don't even really care who wins this thing - just the few that I want to stay around the longest for my entertainment. I hate this show for making me say things like that! ;)
Back to it - I don't want Eric to have to put up Amber, because of the big outburst and how I think it would mess up his standing in the game. And, why do I care?!? I don't know...
Jessica is currently my favorite person. I'm curious to see how she deals with HoH. Will she let Dustin and Eric lead her? or think on her own?

Thing is if something did happen to pop out it would have been the worst time as CBS would cut away from it and the live feeds were down for the HOH competition (I believe) so there would be no screen caps of it. I mean...

I would bet that this show is on some type of delay, so even if something "popped" out, it would get blurred.
I think this might be the most hated total cast in BB history. There really isn't anyone that i am rooting for at this point. i'll kind of root for Eric because he's "our" player, but to root for Jessica after she's done nothing this whole time would be hypocritical for all of us who have bashed those types of players in the past. The only person I want to go at this point is Dick, because I think his act has now worn so thin that I don't find it interesting any longer.

I like Eric again same reason because he is playing for us, but to win I don't care. I think Dustin should win and probably is my favorite player in the house. I think ED does need to go but after I feel the show will get boring. The editors need to stop showing so much of his blowing up, complaining, ranting, etc. I think.

This might be the most hated cast, but I'm still enjoying them. I think I've decided that I'm 100% behind big, tall, awkward, kind of creepy Zach. She screwed up again and the outcome changed. Eric would have had the answer correct if she did not screw up. She should be voted out becasue of stupidity.

Def. Best Top 3 Episode in BB history!!! LOVED IT! Wish it could have stayed longer on the end!!
If you notice in the HOH comp, I think this is how the game will shape up with how Danielle targeted the LNC and vice versa while Jen was able to skirt all the way to the final round.
Go Jen!

i think Eric has been screwed more by outside forces in this game than anyone ever. that banner was the main reason that he got put up this week. granted, d & d would have figured out he was the vote eventually, but she put it together with that banner.
i just wonder why that banner didn't also fall back on amber, who is clearly to me the most unstable big brother player in history and also a big liar. its part of the game, but i think she is so delusional that she actually things she really isnt lying.
as much as people don't like dick, he is great for this show. without him its gonna get alot less fun and boring. while dick may be a dick to peoples face and confrontation is part of his game, i don't think he is nearly as evil as others in this game at heart.
Werd2406

I dont think anyone in this house is "evil" lol...its just a game. Though Amber does seem pretty delusional..."I'm PHYSICALLY incapable of lying" *sob*sob*
Until this episode I hadn't really seen the similarities between the LNC and the nerd herd. But then I noticed that when Amber was yelling at Eric, she said he didn't deserve to be with the "nice" group anymore (or something along those lines). Definitely sounds like they are drawing moral lines between themselves and the others in the house. Hmmm, makes me like them a little less.
I'm with the others who say there's really no one to root for. Maybe I'll throw my hat in the ring for Zach as well. Or maybe I'll root for E.D. just because he's at least interesting and keeps me watching. I suppose I've even been to "his" club a few times, so that's almost like a personal connection  :p
I am in London on business, I don't have Slingbox, and the CBS replays on their website will not work outside of the US. My wife gave me an idea of what happened, but would someone be willing to givew a nice synopsis.....
Thanks!
Well, I guess I should have gone right to CBS website for a recap:
Casa No Votes for Kail
Kail Evicted 4-3
After a tumultuous week of insinuations and accusations, Casanova Eric is safe as Kail is evicted from BIG BROTHER 8 house in a vote of 4 to 3. After the HoH showdown, Jessica grabs the reigns of power.
Kail to Bail or Eric to Exit?
Eric is facing an eviction vote, but he's as nervous as he might be if he were facing a more popular housemate. "Being up against Kail is a lot easier than being up against a lot of other people," he muses, admitting his safety lies in the hands of Jameka, Amber, Dustin and Jessica. After the emotional roller-coaster of the last few days, Kail is worried that she may go home since "everybody likes Eric," and they will likely vote to keep him. Dick knows his allies have three votes but they still need one more to "get Eric out of this house."
Down but not out, Eric seeks out Amber in the backyard. "I am not rolling over," he whispers. Amber is fully supportive of her friend, and swears on her child's life that he has her vote. Elsewhere, Dick approaches Kail and Jen. "Unbelievably, I am saying I want you to stay in the house," he tells Kail as both Kail and Jen laugh. Quietly, Jen makes an astute observation: the other group in the house might get threatened by Kail, Jen, Dick and Daniele teaming up and may vote to evict Kail to ensure their superior voting numbers. Dick nods and sets off to lock in the fourth vote to guarantee Eric's departure. His first stop is Amber. Dick wastes little time in divulging Eric's intention to use private information Amber shared with him to "discredit (her) in the house." Dick informs her Eric is waiting for an opportune time to use it against her. Amber is stunned, trapped by a promise she made to Eric that he has her vote. Dick reinforces his opinion of Eric: "He's a little weasel. He's a sneak." Amber explains she swore on the life of her child she would vote for Eric, and now she is trapped. "Oh my god," she whispers before heading to Dustin to inform him of the news. "How dare he do it," she groans.
The Clamber for Amber's Vote
Later, out in the yard, Dick and Daniele continue to work on Amber. The Las Vegas waitress is frustrated and wants to take action but can't. Dick asks, "Do you wanna leave him in here so he can pull that out later on you?" Amber is quick to answer, "I want Eric gone!" "So remedy the situation," Dick exclaims. Amber swears Eric will be evicted regardless of her vote as she will get her allies to vote against him. Dick offers to cut Dustin a deal to keep him safe for a week if he votes to evict Eric. Amber is still stressing about giving her word when Dick says, "God will understand. If the God you believe in is a just God…pray about it." Amber takes heart and goes to work on Dustin. Dustin is not keen to take Dick's offer as he wants "Evel" out of the house more than Eric. He tries to calm Amber down: "You are so a psycho right now." Amber counters that she's mad, not freaked out, growling, "I'm going to vote to get rid of Eric." Dustin doesn't want her to break her word, so he promises her he will vote to get rid of Eric as long as she keeps her word.
Later as the HouseGuests chill out downstairs, Amber confronts Eric about his intended betrayal of her to their housemates. "How dare you use something against me…when you know I told you in confidence? What kind of person are you? That's so sick dude, that's twisted!" Eric sits stone-faced, listening to her call him out in front of everyone. He doesn't refute her claims as Amber keeps yelling. "You're a devil in disguise... I hate you!" she screams before storming out. "That felt so good. Thank you god!"
Host Julie Chen welcomes the HouseGuests and "house Bunnies" to the live eviction episode. Julia asks Jameka what it was like to be in the room when Amber yelled at Eric. "It was tense…" she sighs but says everything is fine now, although she still regrets giving up the HoH competitions in the PoV game last week. Jen admits she doesn't mind giving up half of the prize money to compete.
Julie then reveals that viewers have posed questions to the HouseGuests. Dustin is asked why he wears the same shirt all the time, and while the HouseGuests laugh, Dustin smiles. "It's all about consistency…Staying the same is my mode of operation."
Dick's a Pussy Cat
Back on the Sunset Strip, Dick is very well liked and well known. Refuting Dick's housemates' claims that he is a name-dropper, his rocker buddy Dizzy Reed, keyboard for Guns N' Roses, adds, "Dick's not a name dropper; people drop his name." Another rocker bud, Eric Dover from Alice Cooper's band, says, "Dick is the real deal," and EJ Curse, the lead singer from Silent Rage, adds, "You either love him or hate him." Julian, an old friend of Dick's from the club promotion business, reveals that Dick is as "loyal as a friend can get," adding that even though Dick may hate him for saying, "Dick really is really a sap and a sweetheart of a guy."
Julie has a private talk with Daniele about her week as HoH, asking how things have changed between her and her father. "It's a very slow process," she smiles, "It is getting better." Julie asks Daniele her thoughts on what Dick has said to her housemates, and Daniele cringes. "The worst thing about it is people are afraid of my dad and they take out the brunt on me."
Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Oregon
Kail's life back home in Rainbow is very different from her BIG BROTHER 8 life. She owns a motel, fine dining restaurant, a grocery store and another smaller restaurant. Her husband Darin is impressed with his wife for playing the game without "the HouseGuests having any idea who she really is." Her hubby doesn't like Dick yelling at his wife, but understands it's a game and that's how Dick plays it. In the diary room, Kail admits she "misses her husband," and wishes she had his advice on how to deal with Dick. Darin is glad Kail has found a kindred Christian spirit in Jameka, but reveals his wife is downplaying her spiritual beliefs. He warns, "If the HouseGuests keep her in too long, they will be in trouble," as his wife might just take home the big prize.
Julie asks the nominees for their final words to the housemates before the vote. Being her third time on the block, Kail stands and repeats her good wishes for her housemates. Eric is next and thanks his allies for their support.
The vote begins with Dick who votes to evict Eric. Jen follows with another vote to evict Eric. Jessica is next with a vote to evict Kail. Zach votes to evict Eric, and Jameka casts her vote to evict Kail. Dustin follows to evict Kail as does Amber. Julie makes it official; Kail has been evicted from the BIG BROTHER 8 house.
Kail stands to say farewell to her housemates with hugs and smiles. She leaves still wearing her bunny suit with a quick wave. She meets Julie outside the house. Dick starts asking for a show of votes and Dustin swears to him he voted to evict Eric. "We had a deal," he reminds him. Julie asks Kail for her thoughts on Dick's behavior. Kail sighs that Dick's behavior is indicative of his true character. Julie plays the farewells for her. Dick wishes Kail a great life, while Dustin tells her it is time to grow up and see the real world. Jen hopes to see Kail again to go shopping on Melrose. Jameka bids her a fond farewell and Daniele apologizes for the "pawn" scenario not working out.
Let's Make a Duel
Julie announces the HoH competition, Let's Make a Duel. The backyard is decked out like an old west saloon. The eligible HouseGuests compete head to head in a duel for ultimate power, the HoH. Standing in pairs, the player who buzzes first with a correct answer will eliminate their competitor. The questions will be about things their evicted housemates said in the diary room. The players continue to face-off until there is only one player left. Daniele chooses the first two "duelists" take the podium. Dustin and Eric are up and Dustin is eliminated. Eric chooses the next two: Dick and Zach. When Zach is eliminated, Dick chooses Eric and Jessica, and Eric is eliminated. Jen and Dick then face off and Dick is eliminated. Jessica and Amber face off and Amber is eliminated. The final pair, Jessica and Jen, face off for the HoH title. Jessica guesses the correct HouseGuest and wins HoH. Eric is elated as his closest house friend wins power.

The sad (or funny part depending on your point of view) is that Eric is even more screwed than before. He is now solid in an alliance and has a huge friend in the HOH. However, he has no idea who America is going to want him to target. (And he is in for a rude awaking. :D )
The good thing is we now have a vote at the end of the game. Eric better be VERY carefuly about promising votes.

Eric has to vote for the person but doesn't have to campaign for that person to go, right? Of course it won't count towards his 10k per 5 tasks.
And also I think when it's all said and done the person in the final 2 that doesn't get erics vote will understand why he voted the way he did.

In order to be sucessfully acomplished task, the person he campaigns to be put up has to actually be nominated. Then the second part voting to get someone evicted is that person actually has to be sent home.
Also, I wonder why they didn't talk to Kail about America's player. I was hoping we'd get to see her reaction on that. I know I'm definately going to want to see Dick's reaction. He's going to feel stupid when he finds out this "brillant" mastermind he's been giving credit to doing everything bad in the house was really no mastermind at all...he was just doing what America told him.

Unfortunately we won't see Dick's reaction to America's player for some time. The next houseguests out will be sequestered so they certainly won't show that he's America's Player until the finale. Maybe they will reveal it if he gets evicted though.

It's pretty hilarious that Dick, Daniele and Amber don't see the folly in accusing Eric of
being the reason Nick is gone and being the one who voted for him to stay. Eric even campaigned for Kail to go home that week (per America's request)! If Amber should blame anyone, she should blame herself - she suggested backdooring Nick and voted for him to leave.

It always frustrates me to no end, and I love how Eric tried to put Dick in his place by saying if ED REALLY wanted Nick to stay, all he had to do was vote to evict Kail. You know... my opinion of Eric has taken a 180 turn. At first, I thought he was this goober who would make a fool of himself enough to be endearing.
Now I view him as a total tool. He's getting way too full of himself at this point. And he TOTALLY screwed Amber. Something tells me we haven't heard the last of this particular drama.
Oh, I just wish that America's Choice was for him to get someone like Dustin or Amber out... because right now, the major underlying reason for the turmoil in the house is Eric. Take away Eric and you'd see most of the strife evaporate....
Sure, ED is living up to his name, but he's gone off due to the rather Screwy way that Eric is playing due to the whole AC thing. Everyone... ED, Danielle, Kail, Jameka, Dustin, Amber, Jessica... everyone...
If they get rid of ED, the house won't all of a sudden turn into the Mickey Mouse Club. AC's choices will have Eric wreaking havoc with the house yet again and they'll all go down the same paranoid/confused route that pushed ED to start yelling at everyone.
Frankly, it's pretty entertaining to see so many people lose their minds.

In Eric's defense, what he told Dick was back in week one. These people hadn't even had time to form bonds or alliances yet. Why Amber felt the need to tell Eric that she lied about being pregnant to her boyfriend twice is beyond me, but everyone was just settling into the game in week one so I'm sure whatever Eric thought he was doing was just gathering any information he could use at a later time.

NOW, I'm just waiting for her to screw up and push the button at the wrong time.

I've been waiting for that for a while. Like when she talks to the HOH and goes, "Just a reminder, the other HGs can't hear us..." I keep waiting for the screwup that allows the HGs downstairs to be able to hear!

Julie makes a mistake EVERY SINGLE Episode... some stuttering, some calling people by the wrong names, giving away answers, not explaining rules properly, etc. etc.
She did it every single season and is almost getting worse at it.
Its actually one of the reasons I love to hate her is to see what she does wrong next.
The episode last night was easily top 3 ever.

Yay!
Also, I didn't think Jen or Zach could compete in the HOH???
No. In the Veto competition, Jen said she would give up 4 weeks of HoH. That was neither the lowest (eliminated from competition) or the highest (have to give up HoH) so she was still eligible to compete in HoH. I don't remember Zach's wager, but it may have been something similar. Or was that when he was eliminated from Veto?

Unfortunately we won't see Dick's reaction to America's player for some time. The next houseguests out will be sequestered so they certainly won't show that he's America's Player until the finale. Maybe they will reveal it if he gets evicted though.
Yeah - I was wondering why Kail never was informed of the "America's Player". I recall everyone else being told that Eric was the last "twist" this year... I suppose it was on the Early Show (which, typically) I forgot to record after saying I wasn't going to forget...

And she says this and then admits to lying to her bf at least 2x about being pregnant.
Amber: "Wah, I only told a couple of people in the house" And everyone who watches the show, not in the house....

I think they skipped telling Kail about Eric (that we saw anyways) because they knew the real fireworks were going on in the house and wanted to get to that as quick as possible.

Yeah... pretty much. I'm looking forward to Amber confronting Dustin about him pretty much lying and manipulating her like he did. Should be for an interesting episode.
The entire house is falling to pieces.... nice...

I liked Kail's "I'm pretty much a loyal to the end person".........she tried to sell anyone out she could!

They didn't show Kail Eric is Americas Player, so is she the first to be sequestered, or is she the first of a few to get a chance to be voted back in?

Does anyone know the version of bible they used on Big Brother last nite, and the passage?

Kail: I was surprised, but I did have a gut feeling. This is so weird, I told my mom [before coming on the show] if I was to go, I want to go home on week five if I can’t go to the end because I didn’t want to go in the sequester house. Call it an answer to prayer. I don’t know – that was one of my prayers, if I can’t make it to the final four or two, I wanted to go home this week.

To help make things clear, that was the answer she gave to this question:
RNO: Did you know you were going home this time, or were you as surprised as Dick, Daniele, and Jen?
Her America's Player response was as follows:
RNO: What do you think about the America’s player twist?
Kail: I love it! That is so creative and I’m so happy for the viewers to be able to participate. Oh my gosh – no one has an idea. He is doing such a good job. I was floored! She acted much more surprised in that interview about AP than I thought she was in the Morning Show interview. Maybe it had just had a chance to sink in.

only 7 are sequesterd, if she was it would be an even number, and can't have that.
I don't think any of the houseguests (so far) can be voted back in cuz they know too much. And didn't they only do that once anyway?

I don't remember them using the Bible. But, if you have an exact quote, you can google it, or you can go to bible gateway dot com and look up a quote/passage. If nothing comes up, you switch translations and then search again.
My guess for the most common to try first,
KJV (if it sounds like Shakespeare)
NIV (plain English)
Message. (more of a paraphrase/novel)
Where was the Bible used in the show?

Oh, found it. "When you feel alone, seek out other believers for strength and support."
Sorry, I thought you were referring to an actual Bible quote. That is clearly a commentary. No idea which one it is.

Been watching the BB after dark. Can dick spit any more.? Maybe he is on a diet and spitting to loose weight. How can they walk around the yard barefoot with all that spit. Yuck.

I would have thought threre were some lines BB would not cross. But, all the religious slurrs are a bit beyond. I guess that they can edit out the offensive pieces in the final cut.

I'm watching Friday night's BBAD and Zach is having a conversation with Amber and he mentions Jameka's application Bible, so I would assume it is the Life Application Bible (http://www.lifeapplicationbible.com/). No way to know specifically which translation since the LAB is available in multiple translations.

I wonder if Carol, Joe, Mike, Nick and Kail will now be voting to control America's Player. How great would it be to get voted out of the house and still technically have a say :)
