will i see a divorce screen on internally upgrade drive and eSATA

I just tried a test and I powered off my eSATA while the tivo was still on, but I never saw a divorce screen. I have a 750GB internal drive that married with a 500GB eSATA drive. Tivo shows 165 Hr HD, which is what the faq said it should be (1.25 TB), but when I powered down the external drive it still saids 165 and no divorce screen. How can i verify that it will record on the external drive?

i was hoping not to invest to many recording to figure out i have to take the tivo apart again.

how if someone that upgrade both the internal drive and added an eSATA drive try to power down the external to see if you get a divorce screen or not.

How about record a HD show on each tuner for 55 hours?
