Tuning of 1GB drive?

I want to use a Hitachi 7K1000 drive in an S3.

Can anyone who has done so recommend the appropriate tuning parameters for the drive?

Any need for additional cooling?

Hehe you mean 1TB drive. Its only 7200rpm so I doubt it generates more heat than the average drive. When you say tuning parameters do you mean HDPARM settings?

It's 5 platters and the reviews I read from the computer sites said that the Hitachi ran the hottest. I know my WD 750GB drive increased the S3 temp by 5 degrees over the WD 500GB drive I was using.
