Only get a limited number of channels

I just installed our new TIVO, but only get about a dozen channels. The TIVO gives me info. on a "Cable Card",. I spoke to Bell South cable service about it and, they say that they supply no such card. It almost sounds like they're playing DUMB.

What should be my next step?

Where do you have "Bellsouth Cable"? They offer different video services in different areas, and what they supply as analog vs. digital will differ depending on which service you have. Also, almost all of the video services that Bellsouth provides aren't classified as cable, so they aren't an MSO, so they probably don't support cable cards.
