We moved and no longer have cable access. We had Direct TV installed in our new home yesterday only to discover that Tivo does not support Direct TV HD lifetime. There is no cable available here. Can we exchange for a compatible unit? Joanne

What is DirecTV HD lifetime? What model is it?

What model TiVo do you have?

But, I'd suggest that you get a DirecTV DVR of some sort.

You need a DirecTV HD DVR. D*TV used to offer an HD model with Tivo software, but not any more. They just have their own version to offer now, but the Tivo models may be available on the used market. Try ebay.
