I have a new S2DT and an older (1yr+) S2ST on the same home network.
Shortly after activation, the new DT downloaded the SwivelSearch and Guru Guides software updates. I played around with them, set up a couple of TiVoCast subscriptions and then when I checked my TiVo the other day, those three features were missing! It's still downloading the TiVoCast programs, but SwivelSearch, GuruGuides and TiVoCast are no longer on the Find Programs menu. They still show up on the ST box.
I have no problems transferring programs, connecting to the other TiVo, or connecting to the TiVo service.
I've heard of a problem like this on the series 3 boxes, and saw something that said it might be related to the network connection (as these are the broadband enabled features) but, like I said, there's no apparent problem with the network connection.
Anyone have any suggestions? I've forced a software update multiple times, we called TiVo and asked them about it and they gave me a very non-committal "Wait a week and maybe it'll be back." It's been a week and they're not back...
Any suggestions you might have would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Does noone have any advice to offer? this is really bizarre and frustrating and I'm getting really really upset that I can't use some of the awesome features I'm paying for.

Try restarting tivo and recycling router and modem; it can't hurt.

Before I got a chance to power-cycle anything, I noticed that TiVoCast and GuruGuides are back, but Swivel Search is still missing. Any ideas?

Connection good? Check all connections. SwivelSearch, Amazon, etc. are all Bradband applications. If you are not connected to a broadband connection, or the connection is poor/gone those apps will disappear. Check your connections. Last resort, Reboot.

Same problem here. I had swivel search for about a day.
I have an S3, and all the other network offerings seem fine.
Tried restarting, too.
Any new info?
Thanks,
Manny

I recently got a new S2 DT 80hour as part of the Lifetime Subscription transfer deal. It works fine, except I too do not have TivoCast, Guru Guides or Swivel Search. No way to access Amazon Unbox, either.
No idea what's going on. I initially couldn't even link my Amazon Account to my Tivo account because Amazon claimed I had not active S2 or S3 DVRs in my Tivo account! I called Tivo and they said I had two accounts, one with no DVR in it. They merged them and after that Amazon could see my Tivo.
I've done multiple connections under Network settings and restarted several times. No luck. I think this may still be a problem on Tivo's end. I'm going to call them today and see if I can escalate it.

I had them last week, but they're gone now. My friend (who also did the upgrade deal) this week hasn't shown them yet. I would suspect it's a Tivo problem on their end...but hopefully they sort it out soon. At least the Tivocasts I have set up still work!

Hey all I had this same problem, after reading a few other threads I decided to try some hints I found elsewhere. I went to the network setting page and took note of my IP address. I then selected the change network settings link and set my IP address to static with the same number that was listed on the network settings page. I then ran a forced download from Tivo to check the settings. Once I went back to the Find Programs page everything was there as it should be; guru guides, swivel search, and unbox links. This worked for me I am using a wireless network. I do not know if wired networks have this problem if so give it a try and let us all know if it works. I hope this helps.

Depending on your network provider, you may have to redo this after a power failure if they assign you a new IP adress when the router reboots.

The IP address is for the interal home network only. The IP address that is assigned by the ISP is assigned at the Wireless network adapter level and then it assigns IP addresses for the internal network to each of the computers and TiVo. So I just forced the Network adapter and each computer to have static IPs for the internal network. That fixed my problems. I should have been more clear about that thanks for the heads up.

Ok...so I followed the instructions posted earlier and set my ip up as static. Then, the items showed up. Went back in and switched it back to DHCP (I have the router set to give it a static IP, but if I ever change my mind I'd rather not have to change the Tivo's settings also. The items stayed on the menu. It appears that when Tivo removed unbox from the main menu to the "find programs" menu, they must have had a bug in their programming or something that didn't "refresh" the "find programs menu" but for some reason fiddling with the network must have triggered it....?
