DirecTivo or not DirecTivo...that is the ?

My wife and I are going to be buying a plasma HDTV soon and want to upgrade to a Directv HD DVR. The question I have for you is should I try and get a DirecTivo HD DVR or the Directv HD DVR. Also, what would be the cheapest way to go to keep my Directv bill down and which model is best? Should I buy through Directv or someone else? Any help would be appreciated!

You will want to go to http://www.dbstalk.com to discuss the DirecTV HD DVR (non-Tivo) as they don't want any talk about it around here.

Short answer: If you want any of the new HD coming out you will need the HR20. The HR10 (Tivo version) cannot tune to the new channels. Come over to DBSTalk if you have more questions.
