I have 2 Direct tv R10 units, but no direct tv. Is there any way to access the Tivo unit and use it as a DVR on my cable tv? I cant get past the section when it boots up and needs to access the satelite.
Also is there any way to send the video to my PC so I can burn it to a DVD?
Thanks :)

Welcome to TivoCommunity!
DirecTV DVRs can only receive satellite signals from DirecTV, so they cannot be modified to work with a cable box or any other external video source.
