View Full Version : HR 10 stuck on clearing and deleting.
My HR 10 was accidentally unplugged then started locking up on me. I decided to delete and reset everything. After letting it run for a few DAYS I decided to call Directv. They sent me the new DVR (20) which I hate. Now when i turn it on it says clearing and deleting this may take up to an hour. What can I do to fix this thing? My unit is stock and has not been tampered with.
Thanks in advance for your help

Welcome to Tivo Community!
Sounds like the power glitch fried your HR10's hard drive. You can replace it yourself. Check out these sources for more info ....

mine is still on 3.1e, 860 days. it had rebooted 4 times sat. recording 2 hd programs. never tried a C&D of any kind so thought i'd give it a shot and did the C&D just on program data/season pass not the complete wipe of recorded shows and all. I started it about 9:30am sunday and it gave me the one hour message. Checked back at 12:30pm and the red light was blinking and still same ole message, one hour..... kinda po'ed since i wanted to record and I unplugged it. came back same thing powering up then one hour message. I figured it was hung up but luckily about 30 more minutes and it finished. Definately faster and recorded two HD shows all afternoon and more sunday evening, no problems. good luck. man, if it was days that would be hard to cope with.
