I do hope this request doesn't breach any forum rules but I just thought I would ask if any of you out there have a Turbonet or Terbonet card they no longer need due to having upgraded to a Cachecard etc, etc?

If you do then send me a PM letting me know if you want anything for it and if so how much. Obviously I'm willing to at least cover the postage cost and probably also a few quid for the card too as I only want to use it in a second Tivo to handle recording clashes etc and thus the enhanced menu speed etc associated with a Cachecard in my main Tivo isn't really required.

I have couple of so of my tested stock (turbonet and terbonet) lying around somewhere. Having just checked I find the current 9thtee price including shipping to the UK is $99.50. I await your offer (obviously to include a substantial premium for a UK tested and guaranteed product) with interest. :D

There is a Cachecard with 512MB of RAM for sale on Ebay closing in about 1 hour at around £45 including 512MB of RAM. I saw a Turbonet card sell on here not long ago for only about £15 or something.

Much though 9th Tee may still sell new Turbonet cards at the price differential to the Cachecard I can't really see why anyone would buy one new rather than a Cachecard.

I only want the Turbonet to put in a second Tivo that will be used for Conflict Resolve type situations. Although is this a pain if the second Tivo is unsubbed? At the low price for which Lifetime Subbed Tivos have been selling lately perhaps it would be easier to buy a Lifetime Subbed one with a Turbonet card or a Cachecard?

If you want to get rid of your Turbonet card and are prepared to consider modest offers then I may be interested.

Its the Crawley one I had in mind which is in 100% working condition, that is leaving aside a dusting down for several years of accumulated fag ash dust on the motherboard (think what it has been doing to their lungs). I don't think the dodgy Ebay Tivo is any use to anyone apart from possibly for its power supply, especially given at what low prices unsubbed Tivos and even unmodified subbed Tivos are now selling for. Really a working Tivo without a sub isn't a lot of use to anyone these days unless you can Slave it to resolve Conflicts (which may or may not be possible without a Sub depending on what you read) and for that you need at least a Turbonet/Terbonet card. I mean the Tivo does work but it isn't worth paying the £10 per month subscription when you can get a Lifetime subbed unmodified Tivo for around £100 at the moment.

I am unable to comment much further on the dodgy Ebay Tivo from the house clearers other than to say that PayPal can be relied on to sort out these matters.
