You want to suggest...what?

Has anyone elses Tivo gone a little nuts recently?

For the last 18 month, my "suggestions" list has only contained items that have thumbs-up... fair enough, I really dont mind.

And then about 5 days ago I suddenly got a *lot* of wierd suggestions. And its getting worse daily.

Tivo is convinced I'll love Power Rangers. And every single Radio Station. Not to mention the whole programming output of CNN and the disney channel.

Anyone got an insight into this....?

My Tivo seems to entirely ignore thumbs up when it comes to the suggestion list, here is what’s currently recorded as a result of suggestions (non of these have a thumb up):

I can honestly say I have absolutely no idea what most of the programs are about. Who needs the shrink me or the Tivo?

Mine developed an obsession with "My tragic true life story" type films a couple of weeks
ago. After years of bringing up fairly understandable suggestions it now seems convinced
that I want to watch films about people overcoming tragedy, illness, dispair, disaster, etc.

I figure its either due to Sky changing around the movie channel themes sometime shortly
before then, or its just decided that I need inspiring....

For some reason, mine is convinced I'll like the lowest rent "reality" shows ("When Carpets Attack!", "Me & My Unspeakable Disease"*) despite having never watched anything of the sort.

For my sins, I'm a pro-wrestling fan, so it keeps recording episodes of Gladiators in the hope I'll get hooked on another overblown pseudo-sport.

Surely there is some correlation between your liking for a Lo-Rent spectator sport like Pro Wrestling and the Tivo's assumption that you may therefore also like other forms of Lo-Rent oriented program? ;) :p

My Tivo has 'cleared' Tivo's Suggestions at least twice during the last week and then started the list from scratch again as if it's a new machine! So I'm having to 'thumbs down' lots of childrens programmes.

There could be that.

Perhaps Tivo has a special "Lobotomised Sub-Humans Who Like Watching Men in Spandex Pretending To Fight" suggestions list that we have been hitherto unaware of.
