View Full Version : Monday's DEAL OR NO DEAL Didn't TIVO?

I understand that Monday was the season finale. I had this show on SEASON PASS, and I don't even see any reason it didn't record when viewing the history.

a) Anyone know if this was a season finale?

b) If so, did anyone else NOT have TIVO record it?

(sorry if I posted this in the wrong area)

Thanks...

Andy

Yeah, actually I found that problem too. It was the season finale. I have a season pass, but when I clicked on the show from the guide it said record this show. Not record as planned. So I checked the to do list and sure enough it was not there. I went to my season pass entry and viewed upcoming episodes and it only displayed reruns on cnbc. Really odd. I rebooted, did not fix it. So I created a new season pass from the show listing in the guide and that one took. I had to delete the old season pass that was showing only cnbc episodes. Something was messed up for sure because my original season pass was correctly setup, even targeting my local nbc affiliate as the desired channel. Creating a duplicate season pass picked up the episode.

I would have missed it too if I had not been poking around.

Aha - thank you VERY much! So, it WASN'T just me. Called DTV (because it's a DTV w/TIVO), and I got the "duh, I dunno" routine. I know it's after the fact, but wouldn't this be TIVO's fault anyhow? I want to talk to someone who can explain this.

Thanks...

Andy

I'll chime in that my S3 season pass didn't catch it either. I was home when it was on so I was able to catch half of it. I looked into the recording history and the todo list and that episode wasn't in either, but it was listed in the guide. Strange.

As 20TIL6 said, it did not appear in View Upcoming Episodes if you selected one of the re-runs and tried it. If you did a View Upcoming Episodes on the finale it did not bring up the reruns. Somehow the guide data thought it was a different show.

I, as well, had the same problem. I did catch it a minute or two into the broadcast and hit record. It looks like it had a new program id as it does not group with the other DoND program in its folder.

For some reason, it showed up as a different series. I did put a note in the "Season Pass Alerts" forum about it the day before.

I have the HR20 (D*'s DVR). It was not scheduled to record it either -- I had to schedule it manually.
