Can I catch at least half of them by using the wish list entry, say, "ER 2007" or "ER" "2007 or something else? I don't want to pick up any repeats other than this past season's.

Using ER as an example, you could just set a regular season pass and allow repeats.

IIRC, season passes are channel specific, and they won't record ER on any other channels but NBC.

Wishlists for tv shows (as opposed to movies) don't look at the year info.
So Keyword "ER" "2007" doesn't behave as you'd expect.
It would not find episodes that aired in 2007, but would find any episodes that had 2007 in the episode title or episode description.

If you want the details, this is because the year you see displayed after the title on the guide screen is pulled from a guild data field called Original Air Date (OAD) (which has the full date the episode first aired).
But for whatever reason the keyword wishlist doesn't search the OAD field.

I admit I'm tangenting... but since most shows don't rerun all of the episodes from the season, do you really want to see just a scattered number of the eps?

(I have largely given up on watching reruns, since it has been demonstrated that even *network* reruns of shows have been edited for more commercial time. The specific example I can remember is Star Trek: Enterprise.. I will still catch a rerun once in a while if I missed only one episode.. more than that and I'll rent the DVDs if available.)

,,,the year you see displayed after the title on the guide screen is pulled from a guild data field...

I hate it when that happens.

Wording was just a little awkward.
