Seriously though, lets get back to the original question, if you have one of the original twin drive systems based on:
1 x Quantum 30Gb and 1 x Quantum 15Gb drives.
I can thoroughly recommend the Quantum AT Fireball LCT20 which was the drive used in the later builds providing a whopping 40Gb of storage in a single drive configuration!
(admittedly 5Gb smaller but only a single drive lessening the probability of failure!)

P.S.
God I hope no-one takes the above message (which is of-course a wind-up) seriously :-)

Gary/ozsat,
I think this thread needs to be locked since it seems clear that its author did not start it for the purposes stated in the thread title.
If is therefore Off Topic, which as you have pointed out can in extremis become a bannable offence......................

Anyone tried stuffing a 1Tb disc in yet ??? (a thinly veiled attempt to keep the post on topic)

The 1000GB Hitachi (nee IBM) is only available as SATA II unfortunately, apart from other little issues like having five platters and running as hot as an oven..............
The 750Gb IDE Seagate looks a better bet at around £160 but then you can unfortunately only have one of those in a Tivo due to power consumption issues.
So 2 x 400Gb Samsung HDLD drives at around £115 delivered is cheaper and delivers slightly more capacity.
What a shame that the thread starter does not seem to have been able to keep his own initial post on topic. :(
