Okay, besides the obvious - that something is being recorded.

What are the meanings of the red recording lights.

While watching "live tv" they are sometimes both on - but NO TEXT shows. Sometimes only ONE is on and NO TEXT shows.

Sometimes there is TEXT and I understand it is recording MY SELECTION. Sometimes there is TEXT next to one red light but the second is ON but No Text.

Or TEXT next to both (two of my selections are being recorded)

It is the NO TEXT state that is unclear.

Sorry but I perused the manual (and may have missed it).

Thanks

red lights, no text = it's recording suggestions

Look in your "TiVo Suggestions" Folder. You'll see red dot there.

There is also a blue light that comes on when it is recording Broadband content such as TiVoCast and Unboxed.

Hmmm. I may have turned it on to test the esata drive but did not go further...

So rather than dig out the manual (G), is the Suggestions Folder under NOW PLAYING or elsewhere? I know most recently recorded rise to the top (maybe it is time to get rid of the Tivo Tutorials!) - do Suggestion Folder(s) also rise up? Elsewhere?

Thanks.

PS: I don't think I have any "blue light specials" as of yet.

Yes, one of the folders in the Now Playing List is your TiVo Suggestions folder. If your S3 is recording a suggested show, there will be a red dot next to the folder icon.
