So I finally get the access cards in the mail, and can now use the new-to-me 10-250's. (and after dealing with DTV turning off all the other recievers...)

I assume that the 10-250 didn't get the UI improvements that the standard def units did (alphabetic and folder sorting). (or do I need to wait for it to pick up some software update...)

The thing thats happening that I find truly annoying, is that changes to "channels I receive" don't stick. Go thru and turn off all the stuff I don't want to see, click "done selecting" go back, and everything is turned back on.

Means suggestion offers up shows on networks I am not subscribed to, and in languages I don't speak, etc...

Is this a known issue?

thanks

Once you have changed the Channels You Receive list make sure you select that filter for viewing the guide. Also, don't deselect too many channels at a time.

Folders are available on the HR10 with software version 6.3.

So how do I get hold of the new release? Will it get downloaded like it did for the lo-def machines? Will it come over the air, etc...

That did the trick. Groups of 10, and they stay off. Get all 500 odd that don't apply, and they don't stick.

thanx
