I consider myself quite tech-literate, yet I'm baffled by OneTrueMedia's explanation for how their technology works with Tivo. Basically, I'd like to simply update an "up to 200MB" video file to their site such that it can be viewed (downloaded?) onto 4 other Series 2 or Series 3 Tivos belonging to members of my family. My questions:
- can this be done at no cost to myself and family? (if not, I'm happy to pay - I just want to figure this stuff out!)
- do my family members need to formally subscribe? (and also pay extra, etc.)?
- is there a limit to how long my uploaded video can be downloaded by them? (I'm presuming 90 days?)
- can I simply upload a completed video or do they automatically process it with extra effects/sounds, etc.?
- does it work well?
I guess, in short, "how does it work"? :-)
Thanks for any help! (and believe or not, I've already read the other threads on the subject I could find here!)
Sincerely,
- robjohn
