HDNet is going to start showing Blade on Monday night, June 18 at 10PM. They repeat during the week, and even though I watched all the episodes they sure do look good in HD, going by the preview I just saw.

This was a very good series that I wish would have stuck around.

omg, this is awesome news! Thanks for the heads up!
I to agree that the show was WAY better than expected and always thought it was a shame that it aired on Spike. Spike has one of the worst pictures qualities of any channel. I will really look forward to seeing these in full HD.

I totally agree. The show was really picking up steam. Stupid SPIKE and its budget cuts.

The brunette was really the only reason to tune in. Kirk Jones can't act.

I'd gladly become a vampire if she was the one doing the turning.

Does the series conclude or just cliff hang?

Jill Wagner, the Mercury girl, will also be on a Stargate Atlantis episode this year.

They sort of wrapped up the season long plot while leaving the door open.

Watching the first episode now as the 2nd is taping, sure looks good. This show was made for HD, nice and clear and bright, I can actually see the show, it was dark on SciFi.

He could not act but the plots IMO were stellar. There were some incredible episodes because of all the interweaving plot lines coming together. It is a shame the piliot drove so many away because the show got damn good. I thought some of the stuff with the vampires especially marcus was damn good.

What an absolutely horrible show. An insult to the Blade franchise.

Actually, it aired on SPIKE.

If you're just judging it by the first few episodes, don't. It really picks up steam.

Kind of funny that three months into having Comcast at home after seven years of Directv, the only thing I miss are Blade reruns.

I was so pissed when I found out that this show was canceled. Yeah, Kirk Jones was bad, but he got better, and some acting lessons between seasons might have fixed that. :)
The episodes were well written and production quality was high. There was no reason other than Spike TV incompetence that this show was dropped.

Was anyone else watching this on D*TV HDNET? The first episode I recorded was nothing like blade and I found out later it was the pilot of a show with Matthew Fox (lost) from 2002 called Haunted.
then the next episode recorded was also called the "pilot" but had a previously on blade segment so it obviously wasn't the pilot... grr, did I miss the real pilot?
