View Full Version : Does Zipper make a log file for debugging errors when Zipper fails

I pulled my 750 gig Seagate from the HR10-250 and booted up on the CD I created with the zipper_isomaker.bat.
The pc boots fine and loads the os without any apparent errors or problems. The CD is on secondary master, and the TiVo drive is secondary slave (no jumper).

Once I get to a bash prompt, and
after mounting the cdrom with
mount /dev/hdc /cdrom and running the zipper script by issuing
cd /cdrom
zipper

Zipper performs exactly the same as before - it runs, but with an error displayed. It does not crash nor abort after the error. Does Zipper write a log anywhere so I can figure out what the copy error is dying on?
Zipper shows this:
copying busybox
copying author file
copying hacks to tivo drive
cp: read error: Input/output error
copying hacked kernel to tivo device
vmlinux.px.gz 40.4% - - replaced with vmlinux.px
1+1 records in
1+1 records out
kernel copied successfully

and it never shows any other errors as it proceeds through the zipper process. Once I down the box and move the disk back to the HR10-250 it refuses to run sh tweak.sh , never shows any errors or progress, just blinking cursor.

I think that the Input/output error msg (at least for the post I've seen) pointed to a "bad burn" of the cd. What are you using to burn the cd? Try something else.
