naming my dvr

how do i name my dvr, i have a toshiba tx-20. have been using basic tivo for quite awhile bought a movie on amazon can not get it to my tivo. someone help

To name your TiVo you need a accont on TiVo.com. You can name your TiVo by going to the DVR Preferences section on www.tivo.com/manage.

You cannot name a TiVo with Lifetime Basic TiVo service. I have a couple of Pioneer TiVos with Lifetime Basic and cannot name them either. In order to name a Tivo, you have to have an account on tivo.com. In order to get an account, you have to setup one of your TiVos with a subscription. The Lifetime Basic Tivo service is a very restricted service that won't work with the Unbox service.
