Files to and from Tivo

I guess this might be one of the topics we're not allowed to discuss, but I'm sure you'll tell me if it is!
I've just finished watch Smallville Season 2 on ITV2 but it doesn't look as if they are going to screen seasons 3 and 4.
Season 5 has just started on C4 and I've bought S3 and S4 on DVD but need time to watch them and I don't have the capacity to store all the S5 recordings on Tivo.
My Tivo is networked so is it possible to ftp the files from Tivo to my PC for storage and then send them back again when I'm ready?
If it is possible, will it be obvious from their names which files to move?

Yes it's possible to do this :)

and yes it's easy enough to identify the programmes from the file names :)

but no it can't be discussed here :(

However Google for a database of deals for more information :D

- edit - phew just waded into the website and I'm sure it's in there, but it looks like you need to be an expert just to find it! It's tough when you don't even understand what they mean by "mount" and unmount" etc!...

Oh well, better stop talking about it as it's banned..
