The installer will be coming to install a new HR20 and new slimline dish

Presently we have an 10-250 that will be moved to another location replacing a standard receiver. House will have HR20,10-250, 2 reg DVR's

We want the 10-250 to still receive off air HD signals. Presently it is receiving off air with a diplexer.

From reading here I understand you cannot diplex off air with the new 5 LNB dish. Running an extra cable (For antenna feed ) to the 10-250 is very difficult.

The only way I can see solving the problem is leaving the old 3 LNB dish there as well as the new slimline and using the 3 LNB to feed the 10-250

Any Ideas ?????

You could diplex between the output of your multiswitch and the HR10-250, since the HR10-250 does not use the other satellites anyway.

So, if you can get your antenna feed to the location of your multiswitch, just connect a diplexer between a multiswitch port there and the coax going to the HR10-250 and add a diplexer at the HR10 end of that same coax.

The limitation is that you cannot use a diplexer anywhere in the path that serves the newer DirecTV receivers that support the new satellites.
