I currently have 2 Tivo Series 2, one is a dual tuner and the other is a single.

Cable here has just increased there rates for $77 for digital cable, I call BS and after this month I am telling them to eat it :P

SO...

I know my single tuner can be used, but is there any place for a dual tuner in the satelite market? (I know how to use a single tuner of the dual) but is there any setup or said recievers from Charlie or Dave that will utilize the dual tuner function of the tivo?

I know that Sat has there own DVR but im just too heavly in love with tivo to quite give it up.

Thanks

Edit: I guess the overall question is a setup of what satelite company I should call and what kind of recievers I would need to fully utilize my tivo's.

You can only use the dual tuner in single tuner mode with satellite because the TiVo can only control one satellite box.

You can get used Directv TiVos on ebay. You probably will need to get a new card from Directv to activate them.

Its like a lose-lose situation :)

Dave dont offer Locals here, and I am a prior sub to charlie so he wants premium rates, IE no promotions.

One question in regards to Dave, If he wont offer locals, does he at least give me someone's Fox/Cbs/etc?

Ill look into Daves tivos.

All Series 2 Tivo's be they ST or DT will only work as ST models with Sat.

The Directv/Tivo units are Dual Tuner. They have 2 feeds into them.

or the in House DVR's offered by the company are also Dual tuner.

So, if you want Dual Tuner and Tivo you only really have One option: a Directv/Tivo unit.
