View Full Version : Tivo or Live - a 1-2 sec video black every now and then

About once a day or so while watching Live TV or a Tivo'd program the video will go black for a sec or 2 while using the HR10. Sometimes it will "loop" 3 or 4 times in a row to black. This doesn't happen on my HR20 or xbox 360. Video is component

What's going on?

Do a reboot or restart.

I restarted several hours ago....and it just did it again

Could be symptoms of hard drive problems.

Or the power supply.

Live TV buffers to the Hard Drive first....

Nope.... (I'm 9 more episodes away from watching the Soprano's Finale) and besides that's all on my HR20.

Tell me you didn't start cursing at your HR10! I sure did. In that few seconds, I was sure it was either my box gone wonky, or DirecTV dropping my HBOHD again. Boy was I ready for a... oh wait, never mind.

Not to be smart. I don't know exactly what you have, but I think you may have a tree growing in the path of you satellite dish. When it get's windy you're losing signal. Judging by the forums this is in I know you have a dish.....

I live in the desert....no trees ;) Sat has total view of the sky. I have a two-story house with the dish on the roof line and the house next to the dish is a single story house.
