I've recently moved to Gibraltar from the UK. TIVO can tune in to the local channels but I get no sound. I suspect this has to do with Gib being PAL BG as opposed to PAL I in the UK, the audio is different (which I didn't realise until now). But how can I change the setting to PAL BG?
Also, can I change the phone number that TIVO dials out? I can add the necessary prefix but I need TIVO to drop the leading 0 in the UK number.
Cheers

On the first part,, so far as I know you can't.
On the second, the trick is to give the TiVo the local number of an internet PoP which supports TiVo; if you search on here you should find a link to a list of numbers.

Regarding the alternate local numbers they can be found at:-

The numbers for Spain aren't in alphabetical order and are at cell 218 in the Excel spreadsheet onwards:-
es SPAIN All Country 34 901 988888 ISDN V.34+ K56flex V.90
es SPAIN All Country 34 901 988999 ISDN V.34+ K56flex V.90
es SPAIN Freephone 34 800 098610 V.34+ K56flex V.90
es SPAIN GSM Mobile 34 901 988555 V.34+ K56flex V.90
es SPAIN Madrid 34 91 414999 ISDN V.34+ K56flex V.90
You need to insert one of these numbers as a dialling prefix so it is then dialled and gets through to that number instead of the UK number.
However you would be better off in the long run installing a Cachecard and connecting via ADSL broadband.
So far as your tv source is concerned the only realistic option in Gibraltar is to get a 1.3 to 1.7m satellite dish (different sizes needed in different parts of Spain) and a Sky box with an active viewing card to feed the Tivo with.

The Aussies use TiVo with PAL B/G see:
